Evergreen Park Illinois is a village with 20,821 residents according to the 2000 census. The village's land area is 3.2 square miles. It borders Chicago city limits, Hometown and Oak Lawn.
Evergreen Park has access to I-294 to the West and I-94 to the east. Most people use the Rock Island train stations to the east although the new Metra station to the west in Oak Lawn is also close. Like the surrounding suburbs it is minutes from Midway airport.

Evergreen Park is one of only two elementary school districts in Illinois that is completely within the village itself.There are 5 schools of School District 124.

Shopping and Amenities in Evergreen Park
Evergreen Park Illinois has the oldest shopping mall in the area called The Plaza. It was created in 1952 and was originally an outdoor mall. A few years later it was enclosed and is a 2-level mall with 120 stores covering 1.2 million sq. ft. Renovations have continued throughout the years and new vendors keep coming such as the addition of a new Applebee's Restaurant on the grounds.
There are other strip malls located throughout the village featuring department and grocery stores. Dining ranges from fast food to sit down restaurants.

This hospital is a non-profit Catholic community hospital that provides surgical, in-patient and out-patient services. It was established in 1930 and is located at:

Evergreen Park Walking Trail
The village has a new multi-use park located at Yukich Fields at 90th & Kedzie. There is a 1.4 mile walking trail and the park itself features 5 fountain retention ponds that are lit at night.
The park utilizes a mix of environmentally friendly grasses, prairie plants and wildflowers. There are also lights for playing evening softball and there is a partially enclosed ice skating rink. Call the Recreation Department at 708-229-3373 for hours and fees for the rink.
