The power of the Internet is simply amazing. I had posted the previous story about Princess, the sweet German Shepherd that was left home alone after her owner passed away, on several blogs I run. I really did not have high expectations.
However, a stranger posted a link to http://www.petfinder.com/ and I checked it out. I placed a free ad but really didn’t think anyone would respond as the ads fall out of sight quickly. I realize there is a search feature but it was just something I tried without any real hopes that it would help.
I received a call right away and Princess now has a new home. I’m amazed how quickly we found someone as the relative taking care of the sale of the home & Princess had contacted several no-kill shelters and a German Shepherd rescue place and no one would take her in.
So I just want to thank the people that played a role in finding Princess her new home. I feel better about doing this than selling the Chicago home at $26,000 over asking price!
